Triple Point Biologics' Other Enzymes recombinant catalog covers a curated set of functionally diverse enzymes that fall outside the four classical proteinase families — serine, cysteine, aspartic, and metalloproteinase — yet occupy well-defined roles in cellular biochemistry. This group includes enzymes involved in nucleic acid metabolism, post-translational modification, lipid processing, carbohydrate remodeling, and redox regulation, among other pathways. Although structurally heterogeneous, these proteins share a common practical value in research: they serve as biochemically characterized reference materials for enzymatic assays, substrate profiling, and the validation of detection reagents. Each catalog entry is produced as a recombinant protein expressed in HEK293 cells, a mammalian expression system that supports native-like folding and relevant post-translational modifications where these are required for activity or antigenicity.

Triple Point Biologics has produced proteinase- and enzyme-related antibodies and recombinant proteins since 1994. Every recombinant enzyme in this collection has a corresponding rabbit polyclonal antibody generated in the same laboratory from the same antigen preparation. This pairing means the recombinant protein and its matched antibody share a common antigenic frame of reference, which simplifies positive-control design and reduces ambiguity in Western blot or IHC interpretation. Matched antibodies have been validated for Western blot and IHC; cross-reactivities with non-human species are reported as validated or predicted based on sequence identity analysis rather than assumed.

Typical applications for this collection include specialty enzymatic activity assays requiring a defined, concentration-verified protein standard; matched-antibody validation experiments in which the recombinant protein serves as a positive control alongside tissue lysates or cell extracts; and side-by-side reagent qualification workflows. For guidance on designing activity measurements, see the Triple Point Biologics Protease Activity Assays guide. For protocols covering recombinant protein use in antibody validation contexts, refer to the Recombinant Protein Positive Controls guide.
