Why this model

What qualifies
To qualify for the refund, the publication needs to be peer-reviewed (journal article, review, or book chapter with editorial peer review). Preprints on bioRxiv, medRxiv, arXiv, and similar servers don't qualify on their own but count once the full peer-reviewed version is accepted. Conference abstracts, theses, and grey literature don't count.
The citation must appear in the Methods (or Materials and Methods) section, must include the Triple Point Biologics catalog number for the specific antibody used, and must attribute the antibody to Triple Point Biologics by name. Citations that mention the target but not the vendor, or the vendor but not the specific SKU, don't qualify because they don't help future researchers find the exact product.

How to claim the refund
- Once your paper is accepted (or published, if you missed submitting at acceptance), send the citation, DOI, and PubMed ID to our citation rebate desk along with the original order number.
- We verify the citation is present in the Methods section within five business days.
- Once verified, the refund is processed to the original payment method within 30 days. Stripe refunds typically land in 5–7 business days after processing; wire refunds take longer depending on the receiving bank.
- Your PubMed ID is added to the product page as validating literature within 30 days of the refund.
Rules and edge cases
Multiple antibodies in one paper: the rebate applies per-SKU. If your paper cites three different Triple Point antibodies, each purchased separately, we refund all three purchases. The same paper cannot be used to claim two rebates for the same SKU.
Multiple orders of the same antibody: if you re-ordered the same SKU multiple times over a long project, only the first purchase is eligible for the rebate against the resulting publication. Subsequent bulk orders are standard purchases.
Group / lab orders: the rebate goes to the entity that placed the original order. If a lab purchased on a departmental credit card and a specific PI's grant should receive the credit, mention this at claim time and we work with your institution's finance office.
Corresponding-author rule: the corresponding author on the paper doesn't have to be the person who placed the order. Anyone at the same institution who can produce the original order number and the accepted paper can claim.
24-month window: the paper must be accepted (not just submitted) within 24 months of the original purchase date. Grants often run longer than this — if your project needs a longer window, mention it at purchase time and we're happy to extend for legitimate longitudinal work.
Retracted papers: if a paper we've rebated is later retracted, we don't claw the rebate back. But we do remove the citation from the product page.
What if the antibody doesn't work?
Separate from the rebate program, all Triple Point antibodies carry a performance guarantee. If the antibody fails to perform in a validated application, we replace or refund independent of publication outcome. The rebate program is a reward for citation; the performance guarantee is your protection against bad reagent.
Who qualifies
The rebate program is open to academic, government, and pharmaceutical research labs. There's no application — anyone who purchases a catalog antibody and eventually publishes with proper citation qualifies. We ask that you use the reagent for real published research, not routine assays or diagnostic development (all Triple Point products are research-use-only), but there's no pre-approval step.
