Rabbit polyclonal antibody against PACE-4 (PCSK6, Paired-basic Amino acid Cleaving Enzyme 4). PACE-4 is a member of the furin-like subtilisin/kexin family of proprotein convertases that cleave inactive precursors at basic residue motifs (R-X-K/R-R) to release biologically active proteins.

PACE-4 substrates include transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) family members, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C), matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), and integrin α subunits. Physiological roles include embryonic development (particularly craniofacial and skeletal patterning), cardiovascular biology, and cancer cell metastasis. PACE-4 overexpression drives tumor invasion in prostate and breast cancer through activation of MMPs and IGF-1R.

Applications: Western blot validated (RP1, N-terminal). Recommended positive controls: LNCaP prostate cancer lysate (endogenous overexpression), CHO or HEK293 cells transfected with human PCSK6, or SW480 colorectal cancer lysate. Additional TPB PACE-4 antibodies targeting the catalytic and C-terminal domains are in development.

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal / propeptide region of human PACE-4 (UniProt P29122).

Reactivity: Human confirmed; mouse and rat predicted based on sequence identity (>90% in the immunogenic region).
